About the Author

Michael Miller is an award-winning snare drummer. A former percussion instructor of beginning elementary, junior high, and high school students, he attended the prestigious Jazz Studies Program at the Indiana University School of Music. Over the course of his musical career, he has performed with a variety of bands in a variety of styles ranging from big band to bebop to jazz to rock to R&B, as well as classical symphonic and marching band drumming. He is also the author of The Complete Idiot's Guide(r) to Music Theory.
